North Korea and H-bomb: according to Seoul new launch of an intercontinental missile is being prepared

Rome, Italy - The South-Korean Defense Ministry said that. Meanwhile the United States also consider the military option

According to the Defense Ministry of Seoul (South Korea) the North Korea might be preparing new missile launches, maybe even another intercontinental ballistic missile: there would be signs of the preparations. The announcement to the South-Korean Parliament comes twenty-four hours after the nuclear test of Pyongyang (North Korea) that took place yesterday. Ignoring the warnings ot the US President Donald Trump and the requests of China and Russia to ease tensions, the North-Korean leader Kim Jong-un continued yesterday with his provocations, being pictured next to the bomb that he blew up on Sunday at 12:36 pm (local time, 5:36 am in Italy): a thermonuclear weapon with an estimated burst of 120 kilotons that caused an earthquake with magnitude 6.3, followed by another seismic event with lower magnitude - 4.6 on the Richter scale - probably caused by the collapse of the underground chamber that the explosion had created. The test was conducted in the north of the Country at about 22 kilometers from Punggye-ri, the site where the previous five North-Korean nuclear tests took place. That of yesterday -the preparations of which had been supposed by Seoul- marks a decisive step in the nuclear program of North Korea. According to what Kim Jong-un declared -who in the last weeks threated to hit the United States on their territories and particularly on the island of Guam in the Pacific Ocean, where there is an important US military base- the bomb that was tested yesterday could be loaded on an intercontinental ballistic missile. The United States National Security Council had an emergency meeting. Trump said that different ways to stop the North-Korean menace are being considered, among which the military option and "stopping all trade with any Country doing business with North Korea". The US President also noted that the North-Korean State "has become a great threat and embarrassment to China, which is trying to help but with little success". The behaviour of Pyongyang was condemned by European and wordlwide institutions. The French President Emmanuel Macron called for a strong international reaction against the advancement of the nuclear program. Presidents of China Xi Jinping and Russia Vladimir Putin -who just yesterday attended together the summit of Brics (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) Countries- condemned the test and said that they will deal with the situation and work for a solution, which for Putin must be anyway a diplomatic one.
