Italian ENAC: its DG Quaranta named EATEO President

"The director general of ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority), Alessio Quaranta, has been appointed President of EATEO (European Association of Aviation Training and Educational Organisations) during the first general assembly of the organization took place last November 10 in Larnaca (Cyprus), at the end of the works of an international conference, led by the same Quaranta on the cooperation of all stakeholders involved in training in the aeronautical field. The organization has been established in Cyprus in June 2016. During the general assembly, besides the appointment of the new-President Quaranta, also five members of the executive committee of the association have been named: Jaa-To, Joint Aviation Authorities - Training Organization; Coventry University; Romanian Aeronautical Association; Hermes Airports; Fsf-Med, Flight Safety Foundation - Mediterranean. The appointment of the director Quaranta to lead EATEO reinforces further the strategic role of Italy in the context of the European civil aviation and is added to the other important offices, performed free by him in the international organizations: - Ecac (European Civil Aviation Conference): vicepresident, member of the Coordination Committee and Focal Point for Security and Facilitation; - president of the BoD Jaa-To (Joint Aviation Authorities – Training Organisation); - president and manager of the Easti– European Aviation Security Training Institute Foundation; - member of the Provisional Council (PC), of the PCC and member of the Transport Minister of the Permanent Commission (CN) of Eurocontrol; - member of the directive council Easa (European Aviation Safety Agency)".
