Strong winds lash the Netherlands and North-Europe -VIDEO

Air traffic in tilt: delays and cancellations. Heavy hardships for passengers

Air traffic (and airplanes grounded) to and from Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport has been temporarily suspended due to a storm. "At the moment there are still delays and cancellations, please check the flight status by consulting our app, or contact the airline for information", the Dutch airport website reported it. The company also informs on hardships also in the connections by trains with the airport, also affected by bad weather and served with limited frequencies.

The press release by Klm carrier is more or less of the same level, according to which over 200 flights to/from Schiphol are currently cancelled always due to the storm with very strong winds, which are lashing the Netherlands and other North European countries.

Cancellations, delays -and inconvenience for passengers- are also affecting other airlines operating on Amsterdam as well as on other areas affected by the weather phenomenon. In any case, it is advisable to inform before arriving at the airport.
