The aircraft crashed against Monte Dena
An ATR-72/200 aircraft (registration EP-ATS) of the Aseman Airlines carrier, flight 3704 from Tehran to Yasuj, in Iran, crashed yesterday against Mount Dena, south of Isfahan according to a statement released by the same airline to the Iranian press. 60 passengers on board, two flight crewmembers, two cabin crewmembers and two security officers.
The approaching procedure is about 25 nautical miles at 15,000 feet. Flights from Tehran must first cross Mount Dena, a mountain chain. Weather conditions in the place where search and rescue services are also blocked.
At present, it seems that there are no survivors among the 66 people on board. The supreme leader of the Nation Ali Khamenei, and President Hassan Rouhani expressed their condolences to the families of the victims.
