Brief "Expo". H-135 helicopter receives FAA certification for Helionix avionics suite
The first US customer for this model was STAT Medevac
Brief "Expo". Airbus Helicopters’ light-twin aircraft H-135 has received the type certificate by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its new Helionix cockpit. Helionix is a family concept with standardised features and is available on the H-175, H-145 and soon on the H-160. The first US customer for the H-135 with Helionix was STAT Medevac, who received three helicopters of this type earlier last month.
The H-135 with Helionix received its initial certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency in November 2016. First customers for the newest member of the H-135 family were the British Ministry of Defence for the UK’s Military Flight Training System (UKMFTS), which is operated by Ascent Flight training, as well as the Norwegian Helicopter Emergency Medical Services operator Norsk Luftambulanse AS (Nolas).
The aircraft is the market reference in light twin-engine multi-purpose helicopters. Traditional missions for this class of helicopters include emergency medical services, law enforcement, VIP and business passenger transport, maintenance of industrial wind parks and military training.
The industry has delivered more than 1,300 units to customers around the globe who have logged a total of more than 4.5 million flight hours.
