Italian Enac releases licensed and certified aircraft operator to Air Italy
The procedure has been completed
The fleet kept operational without interruption and without effects on the users
"Enac (Italian Civil Aviation Authority) completed on the night between February 28 and March 1st the complex procedure for the issue of the Air Operator Certificate and the license of the new Air Italy airline, born from the sale of the aviation branch of Air Italy to Meridiana Fly, which changed its name to Air Italy SpA.
The Italian Authority facilities have conducted technical and operational checks necessary to verify the compliance of the new organizational model with the regulatory air safety requirements applicable in the European scenario. As part of this process a precise verification of the specific skills of the personnel in the various sectors of the new organization was also carried out.
The activities were fulfilled in such a way as to allow airline's fleet to remain fully operational, without interruption and without any consequences on users".
