Cologne-Bonn gains Georgian gateway growth

Another new carrier this month

Cologne-Bonn Airport has confirmed another new carrier will join its airline ranks this month when Georgian Airways launches a Tbilisi link from the German airport. Set to commence on 27 March, the twice-weekly service to the flag carrier’s base in Georgia’s capital city will utilise the airline’s fleet of 97-seat E-190 airplanes on the 3,040-kilometre sector.

Facing no competition on the airport pair, Georgian Airways will be adding the North Rhine-Westphalia gateway’s 29th country market to be served this year.

The addition of Cologne-Bonn’s 150th destination further strengthens the airport’s route map this summer.

The airline’s connection to Cologne-Bonn is one of 11 new links Georgian Airways is launching this month. Connected to 21 destinations, the carrier now has ten European routes.
