Air China plane makes an emergency landing
Flight attendant taken hostage by a passenger
The Air China Airbus A321-213 (registration: B-6555) taken off yesterday at 08:41 (local time) from the "Changsha-Huanghua" airport in the Hunan province, was forced to an emergency landing. As explained by the Chinese civil aviation, the aircraft bound for Beijing was diverted to the international airport "Zhengzhou-Xinzheng", in the province of Henan (central China), due to an "illegal interference". A passenger would have attempted to take a flight attendant hostage by threatening her with a pen.
As a passenger on the the CA1350 flight said: "We heard shouts coming from the front of the plane, but we did not know what was going on".
The attempted hijacking was thwarted and the vehicle began its descent at 09.40am and then landed at 09.58am. The 41-year-old passenger from Anhua County, probably suffering from psychic disorders, was stopped.
