Russia delivers the first set of S-400 anti-aircraft system to China
The procedure will be completed within two months
According to reports from diplomatic-military sources to the Russian official news agency "Tass", Russia has completed yesterday the delivery of the first set of the S-400 anti-aircraft weapon system to China.
Last January, the Russian Federal Service of Military-Technical Cooperation announced that during a violent storm in the English Channel the equipment transported on one of the three vessels used to move the war equipment had suffered serious damage. The ship was therefore forced to return to the port of departure for a faulty components' review. At the beginning of April, the first two ships containing most of the equipment were announced to arrive in China. With this latest delivery, the powerful new-generation weapon system designed to intercept up to 36 targets simultaneously between fighter planes and missiles has arrived at its destination transported by three ships.
Left from Ust-Luga, in the Leningrad region, the third ship has now arrived in China with the equipment not damaged during this winter storm and the repaired components of the S-400. The military stuff delivered was: the command center, radar, launchers, guided air defense missiles and power equipment. No comment or statements by the Russian Federal Service of Military-Technical Cooperation. Russian technical specialists will come into action later this month, when China will initiate the acceptance procedures. The entire reception and set-up process will take about two months.
