Kenya: Fly Sax private plane disappears, wreckage discovered this morning
Still no news about the ten occupants
The wreckage of the Fly Sax private plane Cessna 208B Grand Caravan (registration: 5Y-CAC) that disappeared from the radar on June 5th was discovered this morning in the Aberdare Range in Kenya. The aircraft took off from Kitale Airport and was headed to "Jomo Kenyatta" International Airport in Nairobi with 10 occupants on board. The plane took off at 4.05 pm (local time) and was last seen on the radar at 17:02 pm while it was 11,000 feet high and about 89 km north from Nairobi.
The search and rescue operations, coordinated by the Kenyan Air Force, the civil aviation authority, the National Wildlife Services (KWS) and the Investigation Division on Air Accidents, have been hampered by adverse weather conditions. Because of the lack of visibility a medical aid vehicle collided with a truck and three operators were hospitalized in critical condition.
Still no certain news on the fate of the 10 aircraft's occupants (8 passengers and 2 crew members).
