Aegean Airlines: order for 30 A-320neo family aircraft
Purchase agreement follows MoU signed in March 2018
Greece’s airline, AEGEAN Airlines, has firmed up an order for the purchase of 30 A-320neo Family aircraft at a ceremony in Athens.
The purchase agreement, comprising 10 A-321neos and 20 A-320neos, was signed by airline's Chairman Eftichios Vassilakis and industry's Chief Executive Officer Tom Enders.
It follows an earlier Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in March 2018. Currently, the carrier operates a fleet of 49 Airbus airplanes (37 A-320s, 11 A-321s and 1 A-319).
The A-320neo Family incorporates the very latest technologies including new generation engines and Sharklets for fuel savings. With nearly 6,100 orders received from 100 customers, this Family has captured some 60 percent share of the market.
