Belgrade Airport: Vinci airports will manage it

The goal is to make it the Balkan landmark

The tender called for the management of Belgrade airport -the main one in the Balkan country- was won by the French private company Vinci airports, which for the commission created specifically by the Serbian government was the one that made the best of proposals to increase connections of the capital's airport.

The other offers were brought by the Franco-Swiss consortium formed by Zürich airport, Eiffage, Meridian, the Greek-Indian consortium Gmr Infrastrucutre, Terna and the South Korean-Turkish-Cypriot consortium Incheon International Airport Corporation, Yatirimlari and Vtb. In the end, however, the winner was identified in Vinci airports, which manages 12 French ones for a total of 36 airports in the world -including those in Osaka, Kansai and Kobe in Japan.

The French company will not buy the airport, which will remain the property of Serbia, which has preferred to opt for a concession to individuals that allows it to control a strategic infrastructure such as an airport.
