USA: which will be the future exploration helicopter?
The US Army will be without it for a few years
Among the acquisition programs for the US Army there is not only that relating to the helicopter that will have to replace the UH-60 Black Hawk, for which the competition is between the SB-1 Defiant and the V-280 Valor, because the demand for the FARA (Future Armed Reconnaissance Aircraft) arrived at the Pentagon tables, as the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior retired on August 25, 2018. A decision that has left "discovered" a fundamental part in military operations, that is the ability to locate and point out to the AH-64 Apache and the Black Hawk the precise point where to attack.
The new reconnaissance helicopter will probably be equipped with stealth technologies that will allow it to leave a low radar track, which would give it the opportunity to operate in high-density conflicts making it difficult to identify it; also it should fly at about 200 knots (370 km/h) and it will be the smallest possible, since the battlefields are more and more citizens and one of its characteristics must be that of being able to move between the buildings. The weapons provided should be at least two Hellfire anti-tank missiles and a rocket, as well as machine guns mounted on the sides. The US Army would like it in service for 2020, but probably to have an aircraft that meets the stringent-strictly-requirements will have to wait a few more years, but once the first prototypes are ready you can already imagine what the helicopter will be recognition of the future.
