Germany: proposal for a "work-to-rule" for airport employees

Protest to be extended to 12 other European countries

A "singular" strike is what is urging the Green union in Germany, which asks airport employees and trade unions of 12 other European countries to organize a symbolic protest against precariousness, asking the airlines and the management companies to hire more personnel, train it better and increase salaries. In the proposal to stage this protest there are also the employees of the companies that take care of the services on the ground, since when the European Union decided to open the market the number of workers has fallen, as well as their salaries that are average 30% lower than that of employees in the sector. If this agitation was to take place, however, there should be no consequences for the scheduled connections, since it would be practically a work-to-rule; but it is not to be excluded that in the future the current trade union demands can be transformed into a real abstention from work organized in many parts of Europe.
