Norway: biofuel will be mandatory since 2020
The cost of fuel will rise but it permit to contain emissions
The decision of the Norwegian Ministry for Climate and Environment is set to be discussed as it will force carriers to use more environmentally friendly fuels and blended with biofuels from 2020. A maneuver that is part of the environmental policy to reduce by 30% carbon dioxide emissions by 2030, but at the same time will force companies to use more expensive fuels of at least two or three times the current price per liter of normal aeronautical fuel. The price, however, may be set to increase as soon as all airlines begin to demand more, creating higher fuel costs that would be "amortized" by more expensive airline tickets to keep flights profitable. However, the decision announced yesterday by the Norwegian government remains the first step towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the Earth's atmosphere.
