USA: nearly 2,000 flights cancelled due to a snowstorm
Most hit the city and airport of Charlotte
Huge disruption to transport in the United States where a snowstorm has been caused, and a total of nearly 2000 flights in North Carolina will be cancelled. One of the major US carrier, American Airlines has not operated more than 1100 routes on Sunday, as well as other 225 on Saturday that will be added to at least 300 scheduled for Monday. Problems that will also affect intercontinental connections since in Charlotte, a city mainly hit by the storm, the airline has one of the main hubs, from where many regional aircraft take off to the main US metropolises.
