UK: a Piper PA-46 airplane has disappeared during flight over the English Channel
On board there seems to be Cardiff striker Emiliano Sala
A Piper PA-46 Malibu plane that took off last night from Nantes and destined to Cardiff disappeared from the radar of French flight controllers while flying over the English Channel, specifically in the Alderney island area. The British Coastguard sent helicopters and ships in order to identify the wreck of the aircraft, on which -according to the French and British press- would have been Emiliano Sala, a 28-year-old Argentinian striker just bought from Cardiff for 17 million euros from Nantes he was flying right to the city of Wales.
Guernsey police, another British Channel island, are also monitoring the area to detect the missing Piper, but no sightings have been reported as posted in "Twitter". Two helicopters, two maritime patrol aircraft and several boats are in the zone where the radar signal was last detected, and the two people on board are still missing and the hopes of finding them alive are becoming increasingly weak.
