Nepal: an AS-350 Écureuil helicopter crashed
6 people died on board, including the Minister of Civil Aviation
An Airbus Helicopters AS-350 Écureuil -registration 9N-AMI- of Air Dynasty crashed today in Nepal near Pathibhara, killing 6 people on board including the Nepalese Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari who had planned a visit to the area before reaching Panchthar, where an airport is being built. To alarm the authorities was the local population who would have heard a loud sound and it was later noted the presence of black smoke in the area; the intervention of the rescuers, however, was useless, because they do not found any survivors. An investigation was opened on the incident so as to check if it caused a pilot error or a technical problem with the French helicopter, which was purchased by Air Dynasty in September 2017.
