In Wuhan the "2019 Flight Expo": a great public success and business opportunity

The second edition of the "World Fly-in Expo", which was held at Hannan General Aviation Airport in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province in central China, gathered passion, entertainment and business. During the event, organized in collaboration by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale, the Aero Sports Federation of China, the Wuhan government and the Hubei Administration of Sports, it was possible to admire 560 aircraft. In four days, from 18th to 21th May, the fair attracted more than 80 thousand fans, while 700 people and 60 world famous athletes took part in the 23 activities, which included aviation competitions, high-altitude acrobatic flights, two exhibitions static and four forums.
The "WFE 2019" was not only a sports meeting but also an event to develop business. According to the data provided by organizing committee, one hundred companies showed in the exhibitions, eleven commercial contracts and investments worth 26 billion yuan were signed. It has represented a success for the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone which aims to attract investments in the aviation sector, above all for projects related to aircraft, drones, key components and general satellites. Since hosting the first "WFE" in 2017, thirteen projects worth 31.7 billion yuan have been carried out in the Wuhan economic and technological development hub.
