Soyuz the Russian rocket struck by lightning

Nevertheless the carrier managed to reach the orbit - VIDEO

The Russian rocket Soyuz was struck by lightning during the Glonass-M navigation satellite launch into orbit. However, the impact did not prevent the carrier, thrown Monday from Plesetsk, about 800 kilometers north of Moscow, to complete the mission. Officials of the Russian space agency Roscosmos have announced that the rocket has successfully reached the orbit. Roscosmos' general manager Dmitry Rogozin congratulated with the team. "Lightning is not an obstacle for you", he wrote on Twitter, posting also a striking video of the collision.
