New York: A-109E helicopter crashes on skyscraper

Only one victim, the pilot. It is not terrorism -2 VIDEO

At around 2 pm local time yesterday on June 10 a private helicopter A-109E, registration N200BK, of the operator American Continental Properties, while it was in flight of transfer has fallen on a skyscraper of the 7th Avenue to Midtown, Manhattan, New York. On board fortunately the only pilot, unfortunately died in the impact. The aircraft had taken off from the heliport of East 34th Street and according to the first surveys due to a technical failure it seems that the pilot attempted an emergency landing on the roof of a skyscraper of 54 floors near Times Square called "Axa Equitable Center", in which there are some Bnp Paribas and Citibank offices. However, the building does not have a heliport. Concomitant with the "poor visibility due to rainy conditions", the authorities write, as can be seen also from the images attached to this AVIONEWS.

The AgustaWestland A-109 was completely destroyed by the fire that arose after the impact, the same one that killed the pilot later identified as a former local volunteer fire chief. The national air transport authority FAA, Federal Aviation Administration, has immediately dispelled doubts that it was an attack: "It is believed that the accident is an accident, there is no indication of terrorism", said a high official. Statement later confirmed by New York Mayor Andrew Cuomo.

In the videos below, the final moments of the flight and the accident; aid and authority declarations:
