Brazil suspends concessions to the Avianca carrier
Negotiations with other airlines for airport slots
The Brazilian official gazette published a statement of the national civil aviation agency (ANAC) in which it was informed about the "precautionary" suspension of concessions for the transport of cargo and passengers. In the same note, the Brazilian ANAC announced that it has begun a series of contacts with carriers potentially interested in taking over the slots assigned to Avianca. Other local airlines -like Gol, Azul, Tam and Pasadelo- have already opened negotiations to buy Avianca slots at Guarulhos international airport, also in Sao Paulo.
