NASA: all set for tomorrow's space walk
The Hague and Morgan astronauts will install the docking system for the spacecraft
All set for the spacewalk of the astronauts Nick Hague and Andrew Morgan scheduled for tomorrow 21st August at 2:20 pm Italian time. The purpose of the release is the installation of the "Ida-3" coupling system on the "Harmony" module to allow the landing of the SpaceX and Boeing spacecraft. Christina Koch, flight engineer, accompanied the two astronauts in the preparation, monitoring all the procedures. On the Nasa website it is possible to watch the live streaming of the walk.
Also tomorrow at Bajkonur, "Soyuz MS-14" will be launched with no crew to dock on August 24 with the aim of testing the new "Soyuz 2.1a" rocket system.
Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano is making several experiments including "Amyloid Aggregation", an important project for research on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Creutzfeldt's Jakob's disease.
