Israeli G-550 airplane entered into the Lebanon's airspace
Beirut: "a blatant attack on sovereignty"
A Gulfstream G-550 Nachshon Aitam (569) military aircraft of the Israeli Air Force, after taking off from Nevatim airport, at south-east of Beer Sheva, completed a reconnaissance flight on the Lebanese coast on September 3. Beirut considers the incident "a blatant attack on Lebanese sovereignty" and a clear violation of the 2006 UN resolution created to end tensions between Hezbollah and Jerusalem.
Already in August two Israeli drones had entered Lebanon's airspace which provoked a Beirut's response that it launched truck missiles at Israel which responded with a bombing in southern Lebanon. An Israeli military spokesman revealed yesterday that Hezbollah would build a high-precision missile plant in Nabi Shit in the Lebanese Beqaa.
