Drones will inspect Austrian Airlines aircraft

Greater thoroughness and less time -VIDEO

Austrian Airlines has decided to use autonomous drones developed by the French start-up "Donecle" to inspect its Airbus aircraft: through the detailed study of the high definition images provided, any structural damage will be identified, the condition of the painting will be analyzed and the technicians will check the data with greater scrupulousness and less time: according to the Austrian carrier the hours required for the inspection will be 2 against the 10 currently necessary.

The airline's Vice-President of Technical Operations Michael Kaye said: "Our aspiration is to keep up with the times when it comes to new developments. Innovative systems such as radio-controlled aircraft will help us perfectly to further improve our stability in air operations and avoid flight cancellations".
