China: North Korea and the USA resume relations
Invitation to dialogue between Powers
North Korea declared last Monday on September 9 that it intends to restart talks on the nuclear issue with the United States, but it warned that relations between the parties could be concluded if Washington does not present new satisfactory proposals at the negotiating table.
Today, on September 12, China has invited the US to adopt a favorable approach to dialogue with North Korea because it wants to resume talks on denuclearization and suggested revising the sanctions against Pyongyang: Beijing, moreover, is one of the main economic and diplomatic supporters of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
During a joint press conference with Malaysian Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah, the State Councilor Wang Yi, said: "We will be pleased to see North Korea and the United States resume relations. We hope that the US can take practical measures in this sense and make the necessary efforts to ease the tension".
Just a few hours later North Korea launched a series of short-range missiles.
