New airport in China

It is the third one in the prefecture of Garze -VIDEO

On September 16 in China the new Garze Gesar airport was inaugurated in Sichuan, at the Tibetan autonomous prefecture of Garze, positioned at 4068 meters above sea level.

The airport project received the approval of the National Development and Reform Commission in October 2015. This is the third facility in Garze, after the Kangding and Daocheng Yading airports. To arrive from the prefecture to Chegdu it would take eight hours by car, but now, thanks to the new air connection, an hour of flight will be enough; at the moment the aforementioned is the only route available but soon those for the cities of Chongqing, Xi'an and Kunming will also be active
