Russia meets the United Arab Emirates
On the agenda space and economic cooperation, Syria and the fight against terrorism
Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his meeting yesterday in the United Arab Emirates, said he was willing to collaborate in Space research with Abu Dhabi. The planned activities include the launch of satellites and a cooperation to put a spacecraft into space.
The first astronaut of the United Arab Emirates Hazza Al Mansouri, arrived at the ISS (International Space Station) on board the "Soyuz MS-15" spacecraft launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on September 25th: the base from which the shipment started it is the oldest and most used in the world. It was built by the former Soviet Union, and is now under Russian administration, despite being geographically located in Kazakhstan.
On the agenda of talks with the crown Prince of the Arabian peninsula Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also the Syrian issue (see AVIONEWS), the war on terrorism, economic cooperation with the Middle East.
