Iran: killing of an unidentified drone
It had violated airspace
This morning Iran shot down an unidentified drone aircraft that had violated its airspace near the port city of Mahshahr on the Persian Gulf.
The killing is destined to increase new tensions, while Tehran continues the progressive withdrawal from the nuclear agreement signed in 2015 (see AVIONEWS).
Yesterday an inspector of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) was blocked and his documents were seized (see AVIONEWS).
According to the chief inspector, Massimo Aparo, Iran wants to hinder research on suspicious uranium traces found in a warehouse on the outskirts of Tehran, discovered by Israeli intelligence in 2018.
