"Brexit", the dawn of a new era?

At 12 (Italian time), British Prime Minister Boris Johnson gives a speech in London on the negotiations with the EU on "Brexit" which will look rather tough. Meanwhile, EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier has posted on social media: "It is time to start looking forward. One thing is clear: the interests of the European Union, of each Member State and of all our citizens, come first". EU High Representative Josep Borrell added: "As regards the ordinary competences of an EU delegation in a third country, that in the United Kingdom will play a key role in ensuring the implementation of the withdrawal agreement. And with the embassies of EU member states, will do a work of awareness on the rights of EU citizens".
On Friday, another speech by the British premier to the Nation was also broadcast, which specified: "Despite all its strengths and admirable qualities, the European Union has evolved in the last 50 years in a direction that no longer fits to the UK. This is the dawn of a new era".
