China: ok Lanzhou airport expansion project
An investment of 4.8 billion dollars
The plan to expand a major airport in China has been approved by the country's economic planning institute, the national commission for development and reforms. The expansion plan for the third phase of the Lanzhou-Zhongchuan international airport, foresees an investment of 33.55 billion yuan (approximately 4.8 billion dollars). The initiative was designed to help satisfy the annual flow of both travellers, reaching the share of 38 million passengers, and of goods, reaching the amount of 300,000. The development includes two runways, a third terminal, 91 aircraft parking stands and an integrated transport center connected to the railway system.
