Israel's lockdown towards the end: air travel adaptations
El Al is already organizing new connections
First Nation to formalize the second lockdown, a quarantine that is not so far from the end: we are talking about Israel (read also the article published by AVIONEWS), a country in which new restrictive measures must be respected due to the increase in coronavirus infections. From next Sunday on October 18, 2020 there will be a gradual relaxation of the same restrictions and local air transport is already starting to organize itself. A clear example of this is what El Al carrier, Israeli national airline, is doing in the last few hours and is ready to increase air links in the coming weeks. In particular, plans are being made to organize regular flights with ten distinct destinations.
Ten stopovers will include the cities of Los Angeles, Miami, Sofia and Kiev, to which we must add those of Amsterdam and Frankfurt am Main, in addition to the locations already “served” (New York, London, Paris and Athens). In what condition are Israel's airports? The one being watched with more attention is the "Ben Gurion" of Tel Aviv, which still continues to operate at a reduced rate (see AVIONEWS), waiting for the local government to remove the various restrictions on passengers, take-offs and landings. In recent days, however, news had spread of the official and imminent take-off of Israeli Air Force One, very similar to the American one (read AVIONEWS).
