Russia and China united by future lunar missions

Cooperation between the two countries intensifies

Given China's rapid development and its strong ties and common interests with Russia, it is only too fair to promote cooperation between the two countries in the space sector: this is what Dmitry Rogozin, director general of the Russian state space company Roscosmos said. The Asian Nation is considered a good partner for Moscow during the conference on global space exploration. There are many cases of mutual support, where Russia and China have collaborated on space projects and shared knowledge and equipment, which is why we could successfully proceed along this path. And this shows that both countries are able to promote productive and balanced cooperation based on intellectual and technological skills. Rogozin added other interesting details in this regard: “We have mutual understanding or coincident positions on most international political issues, so why not cooperate together in space? I think this is the right thing to do. In deep space, considering that the distance to the Moon is greater than the International Space Station, mutual support is extremely important. We never know what can happen and how we would help our astronauts and recover lost equipment”. Over the past few months, among other things, a memorandum of understanding has been signed between Beijing and Moscow which has to do with the construction of an international research station on the Moon, a cooperation that is not accidental, as it was started in 60th anniversary of the historic flight of Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
