China-Egypt cooperation agreement on space and aviation

The signing by the two foreign ministers

China and Egypt may seem like two Nations with few points in common and instead the collaboration agreement signed in the last hours by Beijing and Cairo testifies to the exact opposite (read also the article published by AVIONEWS).

The parties have signed a full time to cooperation from an intergovernmental point of view: the main objective is to improve relations, but not only. Today, Monday July 19, 2021, the two foreign ministers, Wang Yi and Sameh Shoukry, met in the former celestial empire, as reported by the media of the Asian country.

Egypt is considered a strategic partner for China, in particular the support of the African State is appreciated regarding various sectors and their development. The parties will work together to enhance production capacity, create new infrastructure and open interesting prospects for strategic sectors such as aerospace and civil aviation. The benefits that have been ensured as a result of the collaboration we are talking about will be mutual. Among other things, the Chinese commitment will also be to support the localized production of vaccines in Egyptian territory to support this country in the fight against covid-19.

What were Shoukry's statements instead? The African Nation is ready as ever to work with China in economic, commercial, industrial, scientific and technological cooperation, all within the framework of the so-called “Silk Road” strategies.

Lastly, there was an exchange of views between the two ministers on the current situations in Syria and Palestine, in addition to Iran's nuclear power.
