"Maks 2021", innovative simulator for Su-57E aircraft presented

These planes are fifth generation models

During the 2021 edition of “Maks”, the Sukhoi Design Bureau presented for the first time ever an innovative flight simulator with virtual reality (read also the article published by AVIONEWS). The device in question has the task of precisely and accurately training the pilots of military aircraft, in order to better manage the fifth generation Su-57E aircraft. As reported by the Russian media, the aim is to take a decisive step forward in this sector. The virtual simulator for the Su-35 aircraft had already been presented during a recent edition of "Maks", that of 2019 to be precise; this time it was the turn of the integrative version, what is considered an even more advanced technology for experiences of this kind. The instrument is characterized by two multifunctional indicators, together with one of the latest series of virtual glasses, able to offer a good level of graphics and to visualize what happens outside and inside the cockpit. All this happens at a resolution that can be considered enviable compared to other simulators. The indicators just mentioned serve to make the virtual image more complete with tactile sensations.

The Su-57E is designed to perform a wide range of combat tasks while operating against air, ground and surface targets day and night, with the use of progressive guided and unguided weapons. It is equipped with the most advanced avionics suite, armaments and more. Every detail has been thought of for effective piloting of the aircraft and performing the full range of combat tasks with a pilot.
