First actress reach the space

Russian Yulia Peresild on the ISS to shoot a film made in orbit

The Soyuz spacecraft with actress Yulia Peresild and director Klim Shipenko aboard the International Orbiting Space Station (ISS). They will stay 12 days there to shoot scenes for the film "Challenge". It will be the first movie in human history made in orbit, except for the documentaries. The stay is coordinated by Anton Nikolaevič Škaplerov, expert cosmonaut who has been fourth time on the Iss.

The actress and director received basic space flight training, with the aim to filming without any film crew. A slap in the face of America, that announced the same purpose in 2020. Actor Tom Cruise and director Doung Liman, in fact, are working on a film in collaboration with Nasa and with Elon Musk, who will transport the crew into the cosmos with Space X aircraft. The project is still untitled. The only certain thing is that the Americans hope that history will repeat itself: like when they managed to overtake Moscow in the conquest of the Moon.

Meanwhile, in recent days, rumors have received confirmation: the actor William Shatner, who played Captain Kirk in the television series "Star Trek", will participate in the next space flight organized by the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos. The Blue Origin's New Shepard spacecraft will leave Earth on October 12th. With the artist there will also be Audrey Powers, vicepresident of the mission, the founder of Planet Labs Chris Boshuize, the creator of Medidata Solutions Glen de Vries.
