ITA: agreement with Alitalia on the brand
The newborn carrier will use it provisionally in the first few months
The new ailine Italia Trasporto Aereo has reached an agreement with the former national air carrier for the temporary use of the "Alitalia" brand. The pact concerns not only the livery of the aircrafts, but also the staff uniforms, insignia and signs of all Italian and world airports with the tricolor logo.
The agreement with the extraordinary commissioners Gabriele Fava, Giuseppe Leogrande and Daniele Santosuosso on the use of the brand was reached before the conclusion of the tender notice of the brand. In any case, the firm assignment procedure is going to continue in the coming weeks. The provisional assignment of the logo will allow ITA to save money on the temporary construction of an image which will have to be replaced, almost certainly, with that of "Alitalia": just think that the replacement of all the signs in the airports of the world will cost dozens million euros.
The former national airline will cease operations on October 14th On October 15th at 6:30 am the first Ita flight from Rome-Fiumicino to Milan-Linate will be operated with an A-319 airplane with the Alitalia livery. Meanwhile, the newborn air carrier received the first 700 million Euros of capital increase from the Ministry of Economy, led by Daniele Franco. This time authorized by Brussels.
