Embraer: agreement with FAB for KC-390 aircraft

The number will be reduced from 28 to 22 units

Embraer informs that it has reached an agreement with the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) related to the contractual discussion regarding the order for the multi-mission KC-390 aircraft. Thus, the total number of airplanes to be contracted by the FAB will be reduced from 28 to 22 units, with deliveries scheduled until 2034.

The airplane has already been ordered by Portugal and Hungary, two NATO nations.

The KC-390 can accomplish a wide array of missions, including humanitarian support, medical evacuation, search and rescue, and transporting and launching cargo and troops, in addition to aerial refueling. The modelhas been successfully placed in FAB humanitarian missions in Brazil, in the fight against Covid-19, and abroad, such as supporting victims in Lebanon and Haiti.

With this agreement, Embraer reinforces its role as FAB’s strategic partner for the development and deployment of solutions and high value-added technological products.
