Multiple attacks using hand-held lasers have been recorded in recent days in the skies over Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in the United States. According to reports, 11 passenger planes were hit within an hour. No injuries were reported on board and all aircraft landed safely.

Officials of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported it in recent hours. Among the affected aircraft are those of major carriers such as Alaska Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines and regional Horizon Air. The crews reported to the authorities that they were victims of laser attacks in the cockpit between 8:00pm and 9:00pm on February 7th.

FAA said in recent days that 9723 pilots reported laser attacks in 2021. A record that the agency tried to counter by issuing a total of 120,000 dollars in fines last year.
