Airplanes-Helicopters. "Singapore Airshow 2022" (15-18 February)

Aerobatic flight tests of AH-64D Apache aircraft begin

The pilots of the military airplanes and helicopters who will perform spectacular aerobatics at the "Singapore Airshow 2022", which will be held from February 15th to 18th at the Changi Exhibition Centre, are involved in intense rehearsals. The Republic of Singapore Air Force (Rsaf) will participate with a pair of Boeing AH-64D Apache rotary-wing attack aircraft and Lockheed Martin F-16C Fighting Falcon fighter jets.

The helicopters will perform 12 aerobatic manoeuvres and a further nine will be carried out by aircraft. These include the "twin peaks", in which the Apaches rise and fall sharply, the "bow and tail sweep" and the "corkscrew", in which the helicopters will fly at an angle of 60 degrees beyond their normal operating limits.

The local Army has also set up a stand where a series of aircraft and weapon systems used by the RSAF will be on static display: these include the Boeing F-15SG fighter aircraft, the A-330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft, the Hermes 450 drone, the Aster 30 missile system and the H-225M helicopter
