ITA Airways (2): Delta Air Lines offer coming soon
Expression of interest formalised in the next few days, then access to data room
US carrier Delta Air Lines may soon formally present an expression of interest to buy the national Italian airline ITA Airways. The proposal by the airline's management came just a few hours before the meeting of the Council of Ministers to be held today, with the aim of officially opening the privatisation procedure.
The decree-law 332 of 1994 regulates the process of access to the data room that must be guaranteed to all possible buyers, among which in the next few days there will be Delta Airlines, already allied in Europe with the Franco-Dutch airline group Air France-KLM. In order to measure the credibility and good faith of each buyer, the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance consultants will evaluate the bids, preventing possible infiltration to spy on sensitive data.
