US airspace closed to Russia
Federal Aviation Administration publishes official notice today

The United States announced in recent hours that it will ban Russian aircraft from American space. The decision by the head of State was met with ovations and bipartisan applause in the House of Representatives. Washington thus joins Canada and the European Union, which have already banned Moscow-based airlines from the skies.
"Tonight I'm announcing that we will join our allies in closing off American airspace to all Russian flights, further isolating Russia and adding additional squeeze on their economy", US President Joe Biden said in his first State of the Union address in recent hours.
After the president's announcement, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that the official notice banning Russian aircraft from transiting US airspace would be published today, Wednesday, March 2nd. The decision affects passenger, cargo and charter flights.
