Plane crashed in China: 2nd black box found
Flight Data Recorder (FDR) sent to experts to understand causes of accident

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) confirmed the discovery in recent hours of the Flight Data Recorder (FDR), the second black box of the B-737/800 aircraft that saves the parameters of the aircraft during the flight. The China Eastern Airlines aircraft (flight MU5735) crashed last Monday in the mountains of Guangxi, causing 132 victims.
China's "Xinhua" news agency reported that the flight data recorder was sent to a laboratory in Beijing for examination. According to CAAC the second black box was found 40 meters from the point of impact, located 1.5 meters underground, and would be partially damaged. However, it should allow to extract the information without particular problems. The Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), which records audio conversations in the cockpit, has been under the experts' lens for several days.
In a press conference CAAC has clarified the situation of the searches: up to now 33.777 pieces of the aircraft have been recovered. Meanwhile, the US technicians of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have arrived in China.
