US investment giant bets on aerotaxis

Bank estimates that two companies will bill 1 trillion dollars

The US investment bank JP Morgan sets eye on eVtol air cabs (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft) produced by the American start-ups Joby Aviation and Archer Aviation, specialized in the development of flying vehicles in this sector that for many represents the near future of urban mobility.

There are many stakeholders who believe in this market segment. So much so that both companies have already collected pre-orders for hundreds of aerial vehicles, despite the fact that prototypes do not yet exist. The news of the interest from JP Morgan has made the shares of the two companies skyrocket and, listed on the Nasdaq technology index, have rebounded up to +13%.

The investment bank, like many other investors, claims that this sector is set to grow rapidly. According to estimates, Joby Aviation and Archer Aviation could reach annual revenues of 1 trillion dollars by the time the authorities hand out flight certifications to the first eVtols, thus giving the green light to the commercialization of air cabs. In 2-3 years, some investors claim.
