First Soviet-made MiG-29 fighter jets in Ukraine

The government of Poland has delivered the first Soviet-made Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. The executive in Warsaw made it official in these hours, following the announcement made two weeks ago by the Polish president, Andrzej Duda. A delivery that takes place within the framework of the initiatives of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to counter the spring military offensive planned by Moscow.

The communication was released by the president of the Bureau of International Policy of Poland, Marcin Przydacz, who added: the official visit of the "President of Kiev Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled for Wednesday 5 April, who will meet the Polish delegation on Wednesday afternoon at the Royal Castle". The number of planes that were sent was not specified, but Duda had previously spoken of four aircraft.
