Until now March 9, 2006 there is only one pilot woman in AMI (Italian Air Force), sub-lieutenant Ida Stefania Irmici, who is doing her pre-operating course in order to be employed on Tornado aircraft. Among the regular courses of Pozzuoli Air Academy (Naples) there are other three girls attending pilot courses to become military pilots.
