ISRAELI WARPLANES DESTROY RADAR IN SYRIA

JERUSALEM, Few israeli fighter-bombers yesterday destroyed a Syrian Army radar base in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. Two Syrian soldiers and a Lebanese soldier were wounded. Syria is allowing the accelerated arming of Hezbollah in Lebanon.” Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, Israel’s Defence Minister said. The raid came in retaliation for an assault by Hezbollah last Friday.
