Methodist Medical Center uses private helicopters

THe Methodist Medical Center has signed a contract with a MedForce of Colona, a western Illinois company to ferry patients to the hospital by helicopter from smaller hospitals in the area. According Terry Waters, Methodist's vice president of planning, the contract with will take the place of the state-run helicopter service which may close because of an aging fleet and financial pressures....
