Russia to renew its civil satellites

Moscow, Russia - USDm 846 worth plan

The Russian State company Kosmitcheskaia Svyaz (Space Communications) announced its intention to replace all 10 Russian civil satellites by 2005. The operation will consist in manufacturing and launching 6 new communications satellites and will cost USDm 846. After this intervention the Russian satellite network will have 275 communications channels available. (m/cesn)
