Helicopters in rural Chinese province to combat crime

Faced with rising crime in remote rural areas, a central Chinese province has created a helicopter-borne fast-reaction police unit, as diffused by local sources. Officers in the unit in Henan province will be equipped with night-vision goggles, sniper rifles and military-issue machine guns, according to these sources. (Gio/B)
